Kitty is finally home!

After one full week of adventure I finally got Minky back in the house. I decided that since I was leaving the tuna and cat food outside for her to eat whenever that it was rewarding her gallavanting and that she was having her cake and eating it too. So I decided that maybe hunger would encourage her to come home. Friday morning I filled her bowl with food and began shaking, when I got to the edge of the wooded area behind our house I started hearing meows, when I moved a little closer more meows, then finally she came running. With the food bowl in hand she allowed me to pick her up - she just keep eating. She was too hungry to care.

She surpised me by the fact that she was not in the drain pipe as we thought - I know at somepoint she was in the pipe but when I finally got her she came from way back in the bushes. This area is overtaken by blackberry bushes - I don't know if you've ever encountered them but they are the WORST sticker vine I have ever encountered. The thorns are hooked on the end so if they get you they get you good and it's hard to get unhooked. Even with gloves, long sleeves and jeans you still get tore up when trying to cut them back. So it really surpised me that she had created a tiny little path way back throught these thorny vines.

I'm glad she's finally home safe and she had required lots of love and snuggles to make up for lost time.

Sophie (aka The FAT cat) is NOT happy she is home and it still growling and hissing at her. Here's a picture of Sophie
